Wedding Tips
-
Great skin is achieved
through daily use of a good skin care program.
Apply a moisturizer and
exfoliate twice weekly. Try St. Eves Apricot
Scrub from London Drugs. Be
sure to drink plenty of water to hydrate.
-
One of the first steps
in creating beautiful eyes is brow shaping.
Try
tweezing or threading.
Try to do this at least 1 week prior.
-
You may not wear much
makeup daily. But for your wedding photos,
you should consider wearing
more than usual. During a consultation,
try
a bit of drama through
false lashes, shimmer, eye
liner, and lip color.

-
Consider carrying a
small purse on your day. In it keep a lipstick with brush or a gloss,
powder for touch-ups, mints, tissue, extra hair pins and travel size
wipes for any stains.
-
Experiment with
lip
colors well before the big day. Consider the
feel, taste and how it may transfer. Lip stains will stay in place for
hours.
-
I encourage all brides
to have a
practice run with photos
- ask a friend to take digital images
of you. After viewing the results, you will be able to determine your
best side, expressions and poses. I guarantee you will feel more
comfortable in front of the camera on your wedding day!
-
Feel confident with
your choices. Don't be swayed by comments from well wishers who feel
compelled to offer negative remarks.
-
Encourage Mom's and
attendants to have a professional makeup application and hairstyling.
You have invested time and effort to ensure this day as well as your
photos will be perfect.
-
How do you choose a makeup
artist and hairstylist? Look for years of experience, a well
stocked makeup and hair kit as well as a portfolio. A professional
makeup artist will know how to enhance your best features, prevent
shine, apply long wearing products to ensure you look fabulous for
hours, and possess the ability to make you look your ultimate best. This
is a great investment in fabulous Wedding photos.
-
What is the definition of a
mature bride? Someone over 35, 45, 55? If you are a bride planning your
wedding, and fall into this category, check out my on-line story on
Favor Ideas.
-
Attendants need to know
that this day is of the utmost importance to the bride, be it her sister, or
dear friend. If the bride requests that you wear a dress that is not your
favorite color, or apply some makeup, be thoughtful, kind, and understanding
- say yes, with a smile. Upsetting your friend or sister will not be worth
it!
-
If you are a Bride planning
your wedding, delegate some of the work. Try not to go to the church or hall
at 5 am the day of your nuptials! Think of hiring a
wedding planner. On your big day you
want to be fresh and well rested - not exhausted from decorating!
